Rui is the nephew of Maria Emília Cunha and manager of the bar-bistro that she and her husband Bill Silvert own in Peral, a small village in the Algarve. The bar-bistro is called the Centro de Investigação Gastronómica and serves a wide variety of dishes from all over the world as well as an astounding selection of imported beers.
